The following is an extract from an email sent by The Hype Council, a business that handles New Media Publicity for ABC Television:

Whitney Houston will be performing on the 50th anniversary special of American Bandstand, hosted by Dick Clark. Other superstar artists and performers are scheduled to appear. Viewers will also witness a once in a lifetime supergroup performance involving many of the artists scheduled to perform. The show will air on the ABC television network, Friday, May 3rd at 8pm/7pm Central. It's an evening of television that shouldn't be missed! Especially for fans of Whitney!!!
