A Wrong, Wrong Start For Brown...

[From Extra]

Cissy Houston Appeals to Highest Source

Whitney Houston’s mother is appealing to a higher power. In an emotional religious revival meeting in Harlem, Cissy Houston prayed for her daughter to be saved from addiction. And some famous friends, including presidential candidate Al Sharpton, helped out.

Whitney checked into rehab last month, reportedly after a family intervention. Cissy once gave a very revealing interview to "Extra," and even then, there were whispers about Whitney. But Cissy strongly defended her daughter. "Well, you know, I never wanted Whitney to be in this business for one thing," Cissy told us then. "You have a right to say your opinions. But you don’t have a right to accuse people falsely. I think some of the things they’ve said have been pretty wild."

While Whitney is battling her addiction, her husband Bobby Brown has been trying to break into the world of reality TV. Cissy gave us her view on her son-in-law, who was just released from jail. "I don’t hate Bobby Brown," she told us. "He just got off to a wrong, wrong start."

Now, this mother, whose love knows no limits, hopes a higher source can free her gifted child from the prison of addiction.
