Chaka backs Whitney

R&B icon Chaka Khan has been speaking out in defence of her pal Whitney Houston.

Houston was recently accused of having an alleged drug problem, while pictures of her looking worse for wear have been circulated.

Khan said: We've no way of really knowing what's happening with her, unless you're there with her, y'know?

"It's obvious she's going through some difficult times right now but I have every faith, and my prayers are constantly with her.

"And I'm there for her when she needs me. And I know she will be fine."

She added: "She's a strong, articulate, persecuted woman, and I think she just needs to be left alone and let her get on with her life. Let her battle her demons and I know she'll come out on top."

Bobby Brown Insists Whitney Houston Is Fine

Bobby Brown has lashed out a tabloid reports his wife Whitney Houston is suffering from a brain tumor and abusing drugs. The star slammed the rumors as "a pack of lies" on May 19, while attending a concert for his nephew's new band in Atlanta, Georgia. Brown claims, "My wife is wonderful ... she is fine."

The star also hit out at rumors of an impending divorce saying, "We are ... working on our relationship. I look in her eyes and I see God."

Oddly enough, Brown spent most of the evening with his sister, Tina Brown, who was the source of stories that appeared in the tabloids. She also offered up photos of the fallen superstar's alleged drug den. Brown added, "(My wife) and my sister are close."

R&B sensation RIHANNA is refusing to take her new-found fame too seriously, because she fears ending up like her idol WHITNEY HOUSTON.

The PON DE REPLAY singer, who sang Houston's FOR THE LOVE OF YOU to clinch a deal with rap mogul JAY-Z, is horrified by recent reports of Houston's descent into a life of drink and drugs.

And she has determined to learn from Houston's mistakes and remain true to herself.
She says, "I love Whitney Houston. She is a big idol of mine and so influential.

"Seeing how things can go wrong when you seem to have everything is educational.
