Vixen Fix...

[New York Daily News Report]

Is 'Vixen' fixin' Whitney's woes?

Whitney Houston appears to have rid herself of hubby Bobby Brown. Whether he gets back into the house may depend on hip-hop temptress Karrine Steffans.

Houston's friends have long blamed Brown for her woefully heavy eyelids. So they're praying she has the strength to change the locks.

Good thing, then, that he's been distracted by Karrine. You remember Karrine. Back when she was, as she puts it, "a coke whore," hip-hop playas called her Superhead. But then she sobered up and wrote a best seller, "Confessions of a Video Vixen," recounting the bedroom (and backseat) quirks of Usher, Diddy, Vin Diesel, Shaquille O'Neal and Ja Rule, among others.

She also wrote about Bobby - their bizarre 2002 encounter when "he told me he was a member of Al Qaeda and that President Bush was looking for him."

Lately, she's been seen around L.A. with him. So what's up with them?

"It's a really tricky situation," she told us this week, as she test-drove a Mercedes SLK 280. "He is my dearest friend. But I'm not saying it's romantic. We won't know what it is till we're ready.

"There's a wife and children involved," the single mom went on. "I don't want to wreck any marriages. But if a marriage is already wrecked, that's not my fault."

So she and Bobby have been intimate? "It's none of your business," she scolded. "I'm still celibate. And if you believe that, I'll tell you another one."

"Look," she said, shifting the Benz into a higher gear, "there are way bigger things in the works than a romance. I'm a businesswoman. Bobby and I are working together on some things."

Somebody told online gossip Janet Charleton that Karrine is "using Bobby because she wants her own reality show."

"Please," she said. "You think I need Bobby Brown to get a reality show? I've turned down four reality shows."

And what about the supposed "love of my life," Bill Maher? In April, Karrine told us that she was so besotted by the comic that "I will never be with another man."

"We still talk," she says. "I'm going to have dinner with Bill next week" to celebrate her 28th birthday.

As for Whitney, she says, "I've never met her, but I'm a big fan. I want her to come back and sing her heart out."

Keep Bobby busy, Karrine, and she just might.

bin Laden Obsessed...

[Daily Mail Report]

Obsessed bin Laden wanted to kill Whitney Houston's husband

Terror mastermind Osama bin Laden is so obsessed with singer Whitney Houston he thought about killing her husband, Bobby Brown, it was claimed last night.

The suggestion is made by Sudanese poet and novelist Kola Boof, who claims she was bin Laden's sex slave for four months 10 years ago.

In her autobiography, Diary of a Lost Girl, she writes: "He told me Whitney Houston was the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen."

Boof, 37, who claims bin Laden raped her and held her prisoner in a Moroccan hotel, says he could not stop talking about the songbird, even though he disapproved of music.

"Osama kept coming back to Whitney Houston," she says in the book, excerpted in the magazine Harpers' Bazaar. "He asked if I knew her personally when I lived in America. I told him I didn't.

"He said that he had a paramount desire for Whitney Houston, and although he claimed music was evil he spoke of someday spending vast amounts of money to go to America and try to arrange a meeting with the superstar.

"It didn't seem impossible to me. He said he wanted to give Whitney Houston a mansion that he owned in a suburb of Khartoum.

"He explained to me that to possess Whitney he would be willing to break his colour rule and make her one of his wives.

"Whitney Houston's name was the one that would be mention constantly.

"How beautiful she was, what a nice smile she has, how truly Islamic she is but is just brainwashed by American culture and by her husband Bobby Brown, whom Osama talked about having killed, as if it were normal to have women's husbands killed."

Boof, who once claimed she had to take her son out of a Los Angeles school after rumours surfaced that bin Laden was his father, also claims the Al Qaeda mastermind read more than the Koran.

"In his briefcase I would come across photographs of the Star magazine, as well as copies of Playboy," she writes.

She also says his favourite television shows were The Wonder Years, Miami Vice and MacGyver.

Tina Brown Fuels Tumour Rumour...

[Contact Music Report]

WHITNEY HOUSTON's sister-in-law, TINA BROWN, has stunned the pop star's fans by revealing rumours the singer is suffering from a brain tumour could be true.

Brown, who exposed the depths of Houston's drugs hell in a National Enquirer interview last year (05), has gone public with the HOW WILL I KNOW singer's latest health crisis. The former model and drug addict admits she's puzzled why Houston's family hasn't come clean about the singer's new medical battle.

Brown says, "The talk in my family is she does (have a tumour). (A family member) said the other day, 'It's getting worse. Let's take her to the hospital.' And (another family member) said no because of the media. "She's (Houston) going into her states and everything. All the symptoms are there. "They called from California stating that she had a tumour. Why are they keeping this a secret, I don't know."

Tina Brown Says She's Saving Whitney...

[EURWeb Report]

WHITNEY’S SISTER IN-LAW EXPLAINS REASON FOR TATTLING: Tina Brown thought Enquirer tell-all would encourage singer to get clean.

*Whitney Houston’s sister-in-law had a sit-down with Sister 2 Sister magazine to explain her reasons for splashing the singer’s drug problem across the pages of the National Enquirer.

"I had several motives behind what I did. One was because I loved her and I was tired of seeing her like that," said Tina Brown, the sister of Houston’s husband Bobby Brown and the photographer behind photos of Whitney’s “drug den” bathroom. Brown says she went public only after warning Houston that she would do so if the entertainer kept refusing treatment.

"Every time I got called (by Houston) I was scared I was gonna walk in there and she was gonna be dead,” Brown told the magazine. "I told her, 'The next time I come in here... and the situation is the same, I'm snapping pictures and I'm gonna do what I gotta do. Maybe if you see yourself in black and white... Maybe you need a jarring experience to wake you up out of this.’”

Brown, who engaged in substance abuse for years alongside Houston, said she was inspired to kick her habit after witnessing how far Whitney had fallen. Bobby’s sis also claims that putting Houston on blast in the Enquirer has ultimately brought the two closer together.

"She called me and she was like, 'You did it...' We started talking and she started crying and was like, 'Why did you do it?' I was like, 'Nip (Houston's nickname), it's gonna help you, man. When you see it, read it. Read what you do.'"

Brown also denies that the Enquirer paid her $200,000 to drop dime on Whitney’s drug problem. "I'm broke now, so it couldn't have been that much money," she explains to the magazine’s Jamie Foster Brown.

Speaking of being broke, Brown also discusses how Houston’s handlers are allegedly robbing her blind. She says she's trying to get the “Waiting to Exhale” star to get rid of her aides.

"She thought her house was paid for and came to find out she owes $900,000 or something... She has to move. It's not that she wants to move...And the whole time she's thinking she owns that house,” Brown said. "She doesn't know that (family members) took her wedding rings... or her diamond bracelet. We have paperwork where they pawned the stuff. They've been taking from my brother and his wife from day one... I'm not going to sit back no more, and they can do whatever they wanna do."

Brown is hoping that Houston will at least get clean enough to see that her entourage is cleaning her out.

"She has like 40 people on her payroll. They all have chauffeurs and (they're) buying brand new cars... but she's broke,” Brown said. "My mission is a quest to save Whitney from the people around her."

Tina Brown Has More To Say...

[Contact Music Report]

Sister-In-Law: Why I Went Public With Whitney's Drugs Hell

WHITNEY HOUSTON's sister-in-law has hit back at criticism she sold photos of the singer's 'drug den' to a US tabloid to make money, insisting she did it to help the fallen pop star.

BOBBY BROWN's sister TINA exposed the extent of Houston's drug problems with a tell-all article in the National Enquirer last year (05) after warning the singer she would go public with her junkie hell if she didn't clean up. Brown insists she didn't speak to the tabloid and hand over photos she took of Houston's squalid drugs den out of malice or to make money - it was all about love.

Speaking to urban publication Sister 2 Sister, the former model explains she had to do something drastic because she feared Houston would wind up dead if she didn't give up drugs. Brown says, "Every time I got called (by Houston) I was scared I was gonna walk in there and she was gonna be dead. "I told her, 'The next time I come in here... and the situation is the same, I'm snapping pictures and I'm gonna do what I gotta do. Maybe if you see yourself in black and white... Maybe you need a jarring experience to wake you up out of this.'

"I had several motives behind what I did. One was because I loved her and I was tired of seeing her like that." Houston's sister-in-law admits the singer's drug use got so bad last summer (05) it prompted her to get sober after years of substance abuse, and her tabloid tell-all has brought her and the pop star closer together than ever. Brown adds, "She called me and she was like, 'You did it...' We started talking and she started crying and was like, 'Why did you do it?' "I was like, 'Nip (Houston's nickname), it's gonna help you, man. When you see it, read it. Read what you do.'"

Brown uses the interview with Sister 2 Sister publisher JAMIE FOSTER BROWN to dismiss reports she was paid $200,000 (GBP112,000) for taking her story to the Enquirer: "I'm broke now, so it couldn't have been that much money."
