Brandy On Cinderella & Whitney...

MTV: Whitney, Brandy Bring New Twist To "Cinderella"

October 31 [7:55 EDT] -- Recording artist-turned-actress Brandy steps out of her TV role as Moesha this Sunday night, to star as the title character in a remake of "Cinderella."

Whitney Houston is also on-hand in the production as her fairy godmother, and Whoopi Goldberg and Bernadette Peters are in the cast as well.

"Whitney was cool," Brandy told MTV News about her work with the singer. "We had so much fun. It's just that, I would just watch her and laugh, watch her and laugh, and they told me, 'Brandy, you have to stay in character. You have to stay in character.' It was so fun. We chased each other in the go-carts and stuff. She's like a comedian. She'll make you laugh all the time, but when they say action, she's right into her character and I'm still laughing. [500k QuickTime] They're like, 'Brandy, you have to get back into focus.'"

Brandy and her new pal Whitney can be seen in "Cinderella" Sunday night on ABC. The special is the first production by the new Brownhouse company formed by Whitney Houston and her husband, singer Bobby Brown.
